Finally started on some of the pieces. Motivated now to have finished before choco. Front diff cover area is cut out of an 8" I.D. dom tube section. housing plate is cut from 1/2" steel plate. need to build the jig, to start laying out the 1/4" wall dom tube shafts. Going to have short side 3" longer and all shock mounts, braces, spring perches from 1/4" plate and braced together. here's the start.

sweet! looks like thats gonna be heavy, thats really not a a bad thing, unsprung weight low to the ground will help keep the rubber down.

ahhh fooey he has rolled before  just flip her back rubber side down and continue right I dont think thats gonna add a ton of extra weight but deff will be heavier than a stock unit

i dont see how unless the weight is above the cog at a given point.

if your on a incline sideways with too much sprung weight, its going to pull you over and your going to roll... but with more weight unsprung (axles/tires) your going to be planted. that makes sence to me

High unsprung weight makes suspension movement more difficult to control.

good shocks would help that i would immagine. id rather have the weight lower than higher ,thats for damn sure

looks good. quite a bit of work tho. would lve one like that or a diamond housing, but they aint cheap
